P1-7 Christmas Show
Over the course of this week we have performed 3 shows for our parents / carers / families. All 3 shows went really well with all of the pupils from P1 – 7 adding their own little bit of Christmas to Kirkshaws Primary. Nursery AM Christmas Show
Our AM Nursery pupils put on a wonderful show for all of their families this morning as they performed ‘Whoops a Daisy Angel’. Along with the fun and laughter the pupils spread some Christmas spirit with some festive songs at the end of the show too. Kirkshaws Fundraisers Christmas Fayre
On Saturday our Fundraisers held their annual Christmas Fayre and, despite the horrible weather, the school was buzzing with lots of people coming along to support the group and all of the pupils. On sale were lots of Christmas gift ideas from candles to jewellery and cakes to toys. There was also a visit from Santa Clause as well for all the hard work from our pupils. The grand total

Christmas Enterprise Week / Bring and Buy Sale
All last week our pupils were working hard to create, price and then sell their own items for the Christmas Enterprise Sale. Lots of pupils also brought in to school toys / books / DVDs and games that they no longer used for the Bring and Buy sale. Handball Festival (Thursday 3rd December)
10 of our P4-6 pupils had a great time at the Coatbridge / Airdrie Cluster Handball Festival. We took part in lots of Handball games against other schools and scored lots of great goals too. I think we might need to start a new Handball Club with all of the enthusiasm that was shown.

House Assembly (Room 16) 27th November
Today’s assembly was the turn of Room 16 to perform at the House Assembly and they showed off all of their hard work and learning about Antarctica – a fascinating subject! P4/5 Sportshall Athletics Festival
Today 20 of our P4 and P5 pupils went along to Airdrie Leisure Centre to take part in the local Sportshall Athletics Festival. The pupils took part in lots of track and field events including the javelin, long jump, speed bounce and various relay races and had lots of fun!

Visit from the SSPCA
This morning we had a visitor in school – Lauren from the SSPCA. Lauren told us all about the charity and how we can look out and help animals who might need assistance because they have been abandoned or neglected.
