Last week was another busy one for us all at Kirkshaws. Hallowe’en and Bonfire Night brought many opportunities for learning and also lots of excitement about activities going on at home. At Assembly on Friday it was most encouraging to hear so many of our pupils able and willing to share the safety messages they have been learning in class. Wow! What can I say? Yet again, the effort and enthusiasm shown by our entire school community has been outstanding! We are very conscious that this Hallowe’en is going to be very different for all families and we are delighted that you have supported us to ensure none of our safety procedures were compromised whilst we made sure everyone had fun this week. It’s all go in Primary 7! This afternoon I interrupted their Hallowe’en Quiz. Mr Gall was asking, “Why are witches’ cats black?”… I think I will need to go back tomorrow to find out the answer…I have no idea!
Whenever I pop into Room 8 I am always impressed at their learning. They never seem to stop! Today they were telling me all about the Glasgow Vampire! Wow!
