RETIREMENT NEWS It is with mixed emotions that we marked the retirement of Mrs Paterson, our Catering Manager, this week. Mrs Paterson has fed more hungry kids and adults here than we could possibly count! Due to ill health she hasn’t been seen in Kirkshaws for some time, but we were delighted that she was well enough to visit us for a short time yesterday for a celebration tea. As

PROPOSED STRIKE ACTION At this time, we expect all schools to be affected by the strike action planned for next Tuesday and Wednesday. Week 3 menus coming up: We have a few menu changes you should take note of next week: On Tuesday, Roast Beef will replace Lasagne. On Wednesday we have a Scottish Theme Day: Red Band – Haggis and potatoes Green Band – Vegetarian Haggis and potatoes Soup, sandwiches and baked potatoes as normal. We are now on holiday for a week, but when we return we will have our Week 1 Menu in both the school & nursery. Please note that there are a few changes to the above menu when we come back. The pasta dishes on Monday and Thursday have been replaced by baked potatoes and the wraps have been replaced with sandwiches. This will be a permanent change across NLC,

STAFFING CHANGES As we come to the end of another school year we have some staff sadly leaving us and others coming to join the Kirkshaws family. Today will be Miss Watson, Miss Reid and Miss McPhail’s last day. All three teachers will be moving to other NLC primary schools in August. We will miss them all VERY much, but we wish them well in their new posts and we
