HAVE YOU SEEN OUR NEW SIGNS?

New signs have appeared, further explaining the restrictions applied to our single yellow lines.  I know many had questions regarding when they would be enforced, so I hope this clears things up.  Please adhere to these rules, helping us keep your child safe.

While the nursery renovations are going on there will be more traffic using our Old Monkland Road entrances, so please walk or park a short distance away whenever possible.  Thank you.

WEEK 1 MENU COMING UP

Please take time to discuss the menu options with pupils in the school to help them choose a meal they will enjoy.  Pupils from P.6 & 7 should have money added to their cards BEFORE they purchase a meal.  We have a number of children running up a bill with Catering.

NURSERY UPGRADE

The work to refurbish our nursery environment has continued this week.  We are delighted with the way things are coming together.  We are confident we will be back in the playrooms next week some time.  Nursery staff will update you on any drop off/collection changes as necessary.  Thank you for your patience during this short period of change.  Hopefully I will be able to share some stunning photographs with you very soon!

SPONSORED NETBALL SHOOT

Please remember that our Sponsored Netball Shoot will take place next Wednesday, 22nd February.  If you want to be in with a chance in the prize draw, please make sure your child returns their sponsor form and all money collected by Wednesday morning.  Any forms received later than that will be gratefully received, but will not be able to be entered into the draw.  Many thanks to everyone who has already returned their forms.  If you forgot about this, don’t worry…you still have 5 days to make your guess and get it to us!

REMEMBER, all money collected will go straight back to benefitting your child in the coming months.  Thank you.

NURSERY TRANSITION

If your child is starting school with us in August, and attends Kirkshaws Nursery Class, visits to the P.1 classroom will start next week.  If your child attends a different nursery, or is awaiting a placing request decision, please don’t worry – you won’t miss out; these visits will continue right through until June.  We will work closely with all families, offering bespoke arrangements to suit individuals where necessary.  Your child and their successful start in P.1 is most important to us, so we will work hard to ensure we get it right for everyone!
