CHRISTMAS MARKET UPDATE
Once again, I must thank everyone who was involved in making our Christmas Market such a success. Our Parent Council is now able to announce that, with your help, they have raised a grand total of £1,333.05. Remember that every penny of this goes right back to provide all our pupils with treats and essentials that our annual school budget cannot stretch to. If you would like to be more involved with the work our Parent Council does, please get in touch with one of the members directly or via the school office.
CALENDAR OF EVENTS
When I issued the yearly Calendar of Events in August, I reminded you that this was always subject to change. Obviously planned industrial action was not anticipated and that has already forced us to make some alterations. However, at this stage we are aware of some changes that will be required in June due to Coatbridge High School announcing their planned P.7 visits. Please take a note of the following dates for your diary:
- Week Beginning 12th June – Nursery Graduation (details to follow)
- Tuesday 13th June – P.7 Visit to CHS (Day 1)
- Wednesday 14th June – P.7 Visit to CHS (Day 2)
- Wednesday 14th June – P.7 Information Evening at CHS (parent & child event)
- Monday 19th June (pm) – School Show
- Tuesday 20th June (am) – School Show (afternoon show added if needed)
At this time all other dates in the calendar are due to go ahead as planned. We will let you know of any other necessary changes as soon as possible.
THE WORLD OF WORK
Next week Room 15 pupils will be visiting the Sky Academy in Livingstone for a morning, to explore the world of broadcasting whilst learning new digital skills. We can’t wait to see what they create on the day and what they can teach us when they return!
NSPCC SPEAK OUT / STAY SAFE
All classes will take part in the NSPCC online assemblies next week, ensuring they know how to stay safe and report it if they feel something isn’t right. This follows on from the parental information letters that were sent home by email on 14th December.
BURNS DAY
If any child or adult wants to wear a touch of tartan to celebrate Burns Day on Wednesday 25th January that will not be a problem. As always, no football strips please.
