Mrs N’s Notes, 4.11.22

Please see new menus above.  Next week is Week 3.

POPPIES

Poppies will go on sale from Monday 7th November.  Our House Captains will visit each class each morning until our stock is finished.  Although poppies are distributed for a donation, we would ask that this is a minimum of 20p as we are aware of the money it costs to create the poppies.

HALLOWE’EN PARADE

If you haven’t seen the photos from our Hallowe’en Parade on Monday, you can access it here:

Hallowe’en Parade

We were all delighted to be able to have some fancy-dress fun altogether again.

P7 STRATHCLYDE PARK VISIT

Our P.7 pupils are getting organised for their week of outdoor learning.  All payment for the trip should be made to the school office by 28th November.

IN-SERVICE DAY REMINDER

Please remember that school and nursery are both closed on Monday 14th November for our next in-service training day.

OPEN SESSIONS

Next week we look forward to welcoming P.1 parents into class to observe pupils at work during literacy time.  All P.1 parents have had individual invitations detailing the day and time you can attend.

P.2-7 parents will get the chance to visit classes later in the month; on Wednesday 30th November in the afternoon.

PARENTS’ NIGHT BOOKING

As you know, our Parents’ Night is scheduled for 24th November.  On-line booking for school families will open on Monday 14th November.  We intend to have in-person meetings in the building once again.

For families in the nursery, staff will make arrangement to meet with you at staggered times throughout that week.

PARENT COUNCIL

Our next Parent Council Meeting will take place on Monday evening (7th Nov) via WebEx.  If you wish to join the meeting please contact me via the school office and I will forward your request to the Chairperson.
