I am looking forward to visiting all classes this week to speak to pupils as they work on literacy tasks. This week is Anti-Bullying Week, so this will be a focus running through all learning. |

| Monday | Flu Vaccinations will take place in school today.
Our School Newspaper Club meets today at lunchtime. 2.30pm – The Hub Club will meet with Martin Bell (CLD) for the last time. Although we will be sorry to lose him, we wish Martin well in the new role he has secured within the service. At 3pm P.2-4 ICT Club NO Cross Country this week |
| Tuesday | P.5-7 Drama Club at 3pm today.
Our Football Team have another match in the Friendship League. |
| Wednesday | I am meeting with a Sustainable Travel Officer and members of the Parent Council this afternoon to discuss ongoing issues with traffic congestion before and after the school day.
P.2-4 Football and P.5-7 Dance clubs both meet at 3pm. |
| Thursday | Coatbridge Cluster meeting to discuss ongoing transition opportunities for our learners.
The Green Gang continue their work on our school grounds. 3pm – P.5-7 Netball and Archery (Group 2) |
| Friday | Fundraisers’ Dress-down Day ~ donations welcomed for our Christmas Fête.
10.45am – Celebration Assembly Our Treat Afternoon takes place today, as a ‘thank you’ to everyone who works hard every day to make Kirkshaws a happy, safe, purposeful school where everyone is respected and valued. Look out for our new SNAP-SHOT Jotters coming home today! |
| Looking ahead to the following week, remember school is closed to pupils on Monday 19th November as this is a staff in-service training day.
On Tuesday 20th November our P.7 pupils will visit Coatbridge High School as part of their Citizenship lessons. Don’t forget Parents’ Night on Thursday 22nd November. If you are having any difficulty with the on-line booking system, please contact the school office. |
