Mrs N’s Notes – 9th March 2018
We were all delighted to get back to normal this week after our unexpected snow closure. We thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity we had to play and learn in the snow, spending quality time with our families, but it was good to get back to our usual routines.
From a Netball Tournament, a HUGE range of after-school clubs, a Reading Quiz, a visit to the Skills Academy and our RRSA steering group meeting to swimming and Box Soccer we have all demonstrated skill and talent in different ways over the past 5 days. The message that has come over this week is WE ARE ALL SPECIAL, WE ARE ALL UNIQUE, BUT THIS IS ME! I am always amazed at the range of activities you excel at and the encouraging way in which you support each other when things get hard. Well done, everyone, keep this up. I met with a small group to film our first Respect Me video this morning. It is not fully edited yet, but I think you will be impressed with it when you see what the group have come up with. We hope to have it ready next week. In all situations we should remember the words of the song Room 10 have been sharing with us this week…
The week ended on a high note, with the chance to (at last) celebrate World Book Day together. Here are just a selection of the fabulous fictional characters who showed up for school today! Many thanks once again to all those at home who made this happen!
Team Kirkshaws – an unstoppable force!
