The Week Ahead ~ 29.1.18-2.2.18

 

Clubs are all up and running this week.  There are still spaces in the P.1-3 Family Fitness Club on Monday afternoon – contact the school office if you would be interested in joining in with your child/children!

I’m looking forward to visiting all children in class this week as I have heard they are all becoming masters of Mental Agility!  I can’t wait to see these Mathematical skills in action! SKILLS FOR LEARNING, SKILLS FOR LIFE, SKILLS FOR WORK!

Monday 3pm – P.4-7 Football, P.1-3 Family Fitness, PLUS Cross Country back on this week.

7pm until 8pm – Fundraisers AGM.  All Kirkshaws Parents will be made most welcome.

Tuesday Euroquiz – Miss Wyatt and a group of P.6 pupils will represent Kirkshaws at this local competition.  SKILLS FOR WORK!

Mr Gall and members of the football team are off to the SSFA Soccer Sevens event at Broadwood stadium.

Stage Assemblies this morning too.

3pm – P.1-3 Cheerleading & P.5-7 Archery

Wednesday Box Soccer, Growth Mindset training continues today for four classes.  Good feedback from last week’s session!  SKILLS FOR LEARNING!

After school clubs today: P.4-7 Dance, P.3-7 Knitting & Crochet, P.1-3 Football

Thursday Primary 5 continue swimming at The Time Capsule this afternoon.  As well as improved swimming skills and fitness levels, I am delighted to hear of personal organisational skill developing here too! SKILLS FOR LIFE!

3pm – P.2-4 Archery, P.5-7 Netball

Friday Our Celebration Assembly today will focus on Star Writers and our Scottish Poetry and Art winners.  (Wear a touch of tartan if you want.)

After school clubs today: P.1-3 Family Walking Football, P.4-7 Family Detective Club

 If you know of anyone who missed enrolment earlier this month, please urge them to contact the school as soon as possible to make the necessary arrangements.

Remember, Breakfast Club is available to any pupils from P.1 to P.7 each morning.  Breakfast is served from 8.15am until 8.45am, after which the children continue to be supervised by school staff as they get the chance to play with their friends indoors or outside, depending on the great Scottish weather.  Breakfast costs 20p each day.  There is no need to sign up or commit to attend long-term.
