Parents’ Open Event Tomorrow! We Can’t Wait!

We are all looking forward to seeing you at our parents’ open event tomorrow! Please arrive at 9 and join us in the hall for tea or coffee.

The Parent Council will launch their Christmas card activity that you can complete with your child during the open event.

Carolyn McKeown and Jacqueline Bryce, Adult Literacy and Numeracy Support Workers, will introduce themselves and ask how they can help you through a short questionnaire.

The bell will ring at 9.30am and our senior pupils will take you to the classrooms, starting with the ground floor and working upwards. You will see your child’s teacher and have the opportunity to join in your child’s learning until 10.30am. We hope to see you all there!

Go Noodle in P2

The boys and girls in Primary 2 are really enjoying using the interactive website “Go Noodle”. It helps us get moving for a short time in class and really improves our mood! Why not try one of the fun clips at home!

We use the SmartBoard to watch Go Noodle clips.

We enjoy having a time to move around in class.

Movie Posters by Primary 3

Primary 3 are learning about the 1990s. We found out that the first Toy Story came out on the 22nd November 1995. The children designed their own movie posters using important information. Primary 3 worked so hard and the final movie posters are wonderful. Well done to everyone!

P5 Cooking Challenge

Primary 5 worked in groups today to research some recipes for the Ready, Steady Cook challenge. Groups focussed on recipes with potatoes and onions as part of the ingredients to make sure we were using what we had grown in the garden. Keep following the blog to find out which recipe is chosen through a vote and what the final dish looks like!

P7 PE at Chryston High School

Our Primary 7’s had great fun this week when they had their PE experience at Chryston High School. They participated in an orienteering activity in pairs – the race was on to see who finished first! We would like to thank our parent helpers, they seemed to have as much fun as the class, and of course, the staff and pupils within Chryston high school.

We have introduced a Challenge Table in the nursery. Every week there is a new challenge that the boys and girls can come and try. This week they had to match colours and shapes. Everyone has really enjoyed having a go!
