We have been working extremely hard on learning about fractions of shapes and fractions of numbers. One group was working on quarters of regular shapes and the other groups were using their knowledge of times tables to help them work out thirds, fifths and tenth of numbers. Some of the children also used cubes to help them find the answers.
Today we put our Christmas tree up and wrote instructions on how to do it! It was then the Christmas lunch so we are feeling very festive! Only 21 days until Christmas!
Primary 7 held their talent show auditions. What a talented bunch! We had a wide variety of acts including musicians, dancers, gymnasts and even a magician! Well done to everyone who participated and a huge congratulations to the acts through to the next stage.
We have been learning about Scottish foods and exports. We learned that Scottish seafood and beef were two of the main Scottish exports. Many of us hadn’t tasted salmon so this afternoon we had a little try!
Some of us loved it and had more, others were not so keen!
P4/5 have been learning all about 3D shape. Today we investigated nets of different 3D shapes then built cubes and cuboids from nets.
We have had a busy afternoon of auditions in P5 for Glenmanor’s Got Talent. Our enterprise committee pupils held the auditions acting as Cheryl Cole, Rita Ora and Simon Cowell. Well done to all the acts for your brilliant auditions! We have chosen our two final acts to enter in the competition and we wish luck to them. Our singing acts are The Two Little Mermaids and The League of Nations. Well done Primary 5!
Primary 2 have read The Story of ‘ew’ this week and helped to identify the phoneme ‘ew’ in the words. Why not try to write your own phoneme story at home using some ‘ew’ words!

P6/7 have been working extremely hard on their personal projects on WW2 as part of their homework this term and they shared their learning on the War with their classmates through presentations. Miss Brunton was very impressed by the standard of the presentations and the work everyone put in. Well done p6/7!
