P6/7 have been working extremely hard on their personal projects on WW2 as part of their homework this term and they shared their learning on the War with their classmates through presentations. Miss Brunton was very impressed by the standard of the presentations and the work everyone put in. Well done p6/7!

Pupils from Our School Choir Perform for Sense Scotland 23 November 2015
Pupils from our school choir excelled themselves at a concert in aid of Sense Scotlnd on Monday night. The concert venue was the beautiful Glasgow City Chambers and the pupils sang beautifully to an audience that included many Glenmanor parents and family members. Thank you for your fantastic support as always. We sold 59 of the allocated 60 tickets, making £501.50 for the charity.
Gymnastics at Chryston
Over the last couple of weeks P7 have been practising gymnastics skills at Chryston High School. We have been working on creating balances using different numbers of people. We had a lot of fun experiencing new things.

We had fun today making Christmas pudding cookies for the school fair on Saturday…Mrs Claus would be proud!
Christmas Carol Service Sneak Peek!
The boys and girls in the junior and senior choirs have been hard at work practising for a very special Christmas Carol Service. Here is a sneak peek of the P4-7 choir singing a song called, “Tonight!”
p6/7 map build up to war
We have been continuing work on our WW2 topic by tracking the build up to war using maps and arrows to highlight the movements of the allies and axis in 1939. One group has also been reading from the novel, Carrie’s War which has helped us understand what life was like for evacuees.
Parent Council Halloween Disco Fun
P6/7 World War 2 mini topic
P6/7 have been learning all about World War 2 as part of a mini topic this term. Today we were finding out what evacuation was like for children during the war. Some of the activities we participated in today were making our own gas masks, designing persuasive evacuation posters and keynote presentations to share our knowledge with others. One group created a short drama scene of evacuees saying their farewells at the train station which we filmed.

P6 and P7 Football Festival
P6 and P7 girls and boys participated in a football festival this morning at Broadwood Stadium. They worked hard together and enjoyed the experience in the lovely weather.
