P5 Use Balloons to Paint

Today primary 5 used balloons to paint. We made a drawing of an autum tree silhouette . So we cut the drawing out and stuck them on to a piece of black card. We then we blew up different coloured balloons. We then we dabbed them into yellow, orange and red paint. Once we finished we took the tree we had drawn off the peice of black card and they all looked fantastic.

Primary 4 – 1990’s Topic – Expressive Arts

The children really enjoyed researching the ‘Pop Art’ style invented by the famous American artist Andy Warhol.  Then they looked at iconic computer games characters of the 1990’s, such as Mario Brothers and Sonic the Hedgehog.  Finally, they used the unique features of pop art and applied those to their designs, using brightly coloured felt pens and coloured pencils.  The final results were amazing!

A Busy Week in Primary Six

Primary six threw themselves into our cooking challenge this week and made ‘Patatas Bravas’.  We used the potatoes and onions that we grew in our own school gardens!  End result got the thumbs up from our official taster, Mrs Martin.

Pupils have been busy at home creating excellent posters displaying their knowledge of various aspects of the 1970s.  Pupils have worked hard and made some fantastic posters.
