Youth Philanthropy Initiative

The S2 students have recently participated in our annual Youth Philanthropy Initiative in which they research and work with small charities. The aim is to help the charity secure an additional £3000 of funding by delivering an innovative and engaging presentation. The S2 students worked very hard on this and established contact with over 40 charities. Many visited the charities to learn more about their work and others volunteered to help the charity. The final was held on the 8th of June and the audience and judges watched excellent presentations that highlighted the important work of a number of local charities. Ultimately, as the saying goes, there can only be one winner and this year it was Strathcarron Hospice. The students who delivered the winning presentation were Chloe Balfour, Elise Clark, Melissa Henderson and Shanley Russell.
