Over the past few days we have all had a shot of the iPad to use the app calle dTypedrawing.
We learned how to:
– put our name into it, how
– change the size of the writing
– change the colour
– change the direction
– make it multicoloured
– change the background colour

We really enjoyed drawing and using our names to draw the pictures. Lots of us enjoyed watching the video at the end which showed us how we drew the picture. It was fun to see!

Today a storyteller came to our class.  She brought a guitar with her. It was great fun. She taught us a song about magic and also told us a story about wizards and how wizards’ pointy hats were invented.
We had lots of fun. Look at our photos.

`Today we used the iPads for the first time. We used an app called My Story. We drew pictures and recorded ourselves talking about our pictures.

Today the dragon brought us castle books. We had to decorate the cover to show what kind of castle it is. Some of us made fairy castles, some of us made dragon castles and others made castles lived in by ogres!! We looked at photos of castles to give us ideas of what should be on our castles.

A dragon sent a letter to our class. He wanted us to create fairyland in our room. We decided that we could do this and maybe we could make: toadstools, a beanstalk, leaves, a castle and a cave for the dragon.

Today we read Jack and the Beanstalk. The dragon brought us magic beans and we planted them. We hope they grow to be enormous, tall and reach up to a castle in the sky.

Last week we wrote a book about our local area to share with our friends at Denend Primary.  We sent the book to them along with Chryston Ted who is going to visit them for a holiday.

We hope they enjoy reading our special book!

This week we learned some Scottish songs and poems. The song we learned was “You cannae shove your grannie aff a bus” and the poem we learned was “The Wee Rid Motor”.  We recorded ourselves singing and saying our poem.  We hope to upload our work soon.

Today we have been lookingat some Scottish landmarks.  Some of the landmarks we looked at were the Forth Rail Bridge, the Forth Road Bridge, the Wallace Monument and Edinburgh Castle.

We looked at pictures of the Forth Rail Bridge and saw all the lines and criss crosses.  We drew some pictures of the Forth Rail Bridge using chalk and blackboards.  We tried hard to draw straight lines.  Do you like our pictures?

Today we went on a walk to Muirhead.  On the way we had to walk up a busy road but we were very careful.  We walked past the butcher shop first and then we saw the chip shop, the Co-op, Soaves, a doctors, a dentist, the Rainbow hall (Snowdrop nursery!), a vet, the pet shop and the park.

Some Primary 6 friends came with along to help us stay safe.  We all enjoyed our walk.  It was cold but nice.
