Transport In Our Local Area

This week we have started our new topic which is all about travel and transport.  On Wednesday morning Primary 1a and Primary 1b went on a local area walk.  We were on the look out for all the different forms of transport that we could find.

We found cars, vans, lorries, bikes, taxi’s, buses and even spotted a plane in the sky.  We also spotted different things that help the traffic to know what to do.  We found out that these were called road signs and they do lots of different jobs.

To keep us safe when we were out near the road.  We held our partner’s hand and crossed at the traffic lights and zebra crossing.  We had a great morning and showed that we know how to stay safe near the road.

  1. I thought our walk was ‘fantastic’!! I now tell my Mummy and Daddy what the road signs mean whenever we are waking or in the car. Sienna

  2. I now help my mummy when she is driving by reading the road signs and telling her what speed she can drive.
