Highland Games

On Thursday all primary 1 and 2’s held our very own Highland games. We have been working on our movement skills in P.E to practise for each event.

In the hall we all took part in the sheaf toss, the caber toss, the wellie toss and the relay race.  We created shields to show which clan we were in. We were all very enthusiastic cheering on our clansmen.

In class we had an athletes feast.  We tried oatcakes with scottish cheddar, carrot cabers and kilted gingerbread men. We also had a traditional scottish toast with a taste of irn bru.

It was a fantastic afternoon!
