  • Indoor and Outdoor Play- Early Level

I hope our pupils have had a wonderful Easter break. I am sure they will have had plenty of opportunity for lots of play both indoor and outdoor, especially with this lovely weather.

Play is an essential part of every child’s life and is  vital for the enjoyment of childhood as well as social, emotional , intellectual and physical development.

I have attached a link to a play grid for early years. This will be updated every fortnight.

If you would like to email any photographs of your children completing these activities these will be uploaded to our school blog. rmeimaroglou@chapelgreen. n-lanark.sch.uk

Stay safe and well. Happy playing!!

  • Scottish Event

Thank you very much for being a great audience for our pupils.  They really enjoyed presenting their Scottish songs, poems and performing the dances.   We are very proud of everyone who took part.

  • Celebrating the School Values: Tea with Headteacher

Pupils who have been demonstrating the values of our school were invited to Tea with the Headteacher. These pupils have demonstrated  our school values very effectively.  Congratulations!

  • Improving our work: Peer and Self Assessment.

The pupils were peer assessing each other’s stories and self assessing their own work. Lots of great conversation about their learning and how to improve their standards. Well Done.

  • Robert Burns

Our pupils were learning all about our beloved poet Robert Burns last week.  They learned lots of interesting facts about Rabbie, his life and what inspired him to write.  They participated in a fun quiz!

The competition was very close. Chapelgreen Primary certainly knew lots about Rabbie Burns! Well Done to our winners! 🙌🏆

  • Celebrating Success!

Congratulations to those who were awarded with Successful Learner, Effective Contributor and Responsible Citizen recognition this term.   I hope you have your certificates proudly displayed.

  • Travel Tracker Badges

The children continue to be encourage to find active ways to travel to school.  One option is to park and stride.  This means, if you have to take the car, park the car a distance from the school and then walk the rest.  If the children complete 4 active journeys every week they receive a badge at the end of the month.  Well done to those achieving this.

    September badges.

It is important that the children record their journey every day in class so that we can identify who should be awarded with a badge.

  • JRSO Competition Winners!

Congratulations to the children who won the Junior Road Safety walk or cycle to school poster competition.

In assembly, the children identified active ways to travel to school.  They discussed the benefits to our social, mental and physical well-being and to our environment.  Good work everyone!
