The Scottish Youth Parliament needs you! We’re looking for passionate, change-making young people, who aren’t scared to get their hands dirty and shout about what they believe in.
The SYP is not based around political parties but is about the issues that are important to young people. MSYPs do not represent political parties but stand to represent the views of young people within their area or organisation.
In order to do this our members consult with young people about the issues that are important to them and aim to represent these views to people who make decisions in local communities and also in national government . The SYP is a democratic organisation.
Anyone who wishes to represent the views of other young people and is between 14-25 can stand for election. MSYPs serve for two years. Members are elected into office by other young people and significant positions within the organisation are elected by the membership.
If you think you could be the next MSYP in this area get in touch with Elaine Byrne HSPO. Candidates names to be submitted before the end of October 16.
More information will be available at the Calderhead Information night on Monday 10th October from 6.30pm-8.30pm.

If you prefer to donate money instead that would also be welcome , as postage for the boxes needs to be paid.
