Shirt/blouse/polo shirt White

Pinafore/skirt/trousers Black
Sweatshirt Red (available from school)

For Health and Safety reasons the only jewellery allowed in school is a watch and small stud earrings, both of which must be removed for P.E.
It would greatly assist the school if parents could NAME their child’s belongings, as all school uniform items look the same and children might also be wearing similar jackets.
All North Lanarkshire schools must have a dress code which encourages pupils to dress in a way which is appropriate to attendance at school. This dress code must not lead to direct or indirect discrimination on the grounds of race, religion, gender or disability. Prior to drawing up the dress code, parents, pupils and staff were fully consulted. It is the expectation of the education authority that parents will be keen to support the dress code. Clothing which is unacceptable in school under any circumstances includes items that:
- Could potentially encourage factions (e.g. football colours etc.)
- Could cause offence (e.g. anti-religious symbolism or political slogans)
- Could cause health and safety difficulties such as loose fitting clothing, dangling earrings and other potentially dangerous jewellery
- Are of flammable materials which may be a danger in certain classes (e.g. shell suits)
- Could cause damage to flooring
- Carry advertising, in particular for alcohol or tobacco
- Could be used to inflict damage on other pupils or be used by others to do so.
I was at the P1 induction today. It was well presented and laid out. However I got caught in the moment and didn’t get a chance to ask the two questions I had.
Are kids allowed to wear grey or navy pinafores? I know when I went to this school it was navy.
Is there a breakfast club available?
Kind regards

Hi Catherine,
I am glad you enjoyed the induction day. We changed our uniform about 5 years ago to black only for trousers, skirts and pinafores and red only for cardigans and sweatshirts. Yes we do have a breakfast club. It runs from 8.15-8.45 when the children then go into the playground. Breakfast club is free for children in P1-3.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards
