Christmas party

We all had a wonderful time at the Christmas party yesterday. We played musical bumps, musical statues, pin the nose of Rudolph and lots of other games. We had a lovely party snack and we even had a cracker to pull for each of us!

This morning Bobby and Lucy had returned from the North Pole after telling Santa about what good boys and girls we all are in Primary 2/3 . They had been getting themselves into lots of mischief in the classroom, taking selfies and left us lots of funny things for us to wear to look a bit elfie!

From Farm to Fork!

The children have been learning about where their food comes from. Today they dug for vegetables in the soil, scrubbed them clean, peeled them and added them to their huge soup pots. Then they stirred and stirred and stirred!

Today the children found some fir tree branches lying in the garden. We brought them inside and decorated them with paint, glue, glitter and tinsel. Tomorrow we will decorate the garden with our colourful branches!

Money! Money! Money!

Primary 5 have been exploring money over the past few weeks. We have been trying to spend within a budget. This week we have decided to use money instead of class points.

We have created a list of ways we can earn money and there is also a list of things we can get fined for. On Friday we will have the choice to spend our money on a treat or save it up for next week!

Transient Art

Here’s an inspiring addition to our art area: transient nature art! We simply provided frames and a collection of natural materials. Transient art is not permanent and allows the children to manipulate, explore, and experiment with patterns and shapes in a completely free way.
