Roman Houses

P4 have been learning about The Romans and how they lived. In our co-operative groups, we have built our very own Roman rooms. The building process might have looked a mess but we all worked hard to build our very own Roman rooms out of recycled materials.

Merry Christmas

So what can we say. An elf came to stay with us in Primary 4 bringing sweets, fun and mess all the way from the North Pole. He came to see if all the fuss about Primary 4 was true! If Primary 4 were really the best and a class full of good boys and girls. He has reported to Santa and we think he will be happy! Happier than Mr. Paterson and Mrs. Fazzi every time the elf had made a mess! He leaves us tonight to return to the North Pole for the final time to speak to Santa. We will miss Elf and wish him a Merry Christmas and say a massive thank you  to him for being part of our class these last couple of weeks.

Mrs. Fazzi and I would like to wish all the boys and girls and their families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and look forward to seeing everyone return refreshed and ready to learn.

P4 Halloween Afternoon

On Friday, we had great fun in our base where we did a variety of Halloween activities. We made Witches Hats which we quickly ate, wrote some spooky stories and made some terrifying ghosts! We played games and pulled some scary poses.

Some fun in and outside!

We were lucky enough to meet Commonwealth Gold medal winning Kimberly Renick last Friday. We spent some time doing fitness led by Kimberly and then we heard a great talk from her.

This week we started our Daily Mile where we run or walk around the school. As you can see from the pictures we have really enjoyed doing it and look forward to doing it every day! Primary 3/4 joined us to give it a go!

Primary 4

This time last week we were wowing our family and friends with our amazing Class Assembly. We aim to be our best this year in Primary 4 and we hoped we shown our best last Thursday. We spoke about the Olympics past and present and sang a song called ‘Soar’ to tell our parents how we are going to soar and reach for the stars this year in Primary 4.

Our first week in Primary 4

Our first week in Primary 4 has been great. We have all settled in well to our new classroom with our new class mates and teachers. This week we have enjoyed the weather outside by playing rounders. Some of us even managed to get some home runs which was great. In P.E we have been working on our fitness levels by taking part in circuits.

Our new topic is mapping and the photo shows what we already know. We are looking forward to building on our knowledge by learning more about mapping.

We have been reading No Gun for Asmir and enjoying reading and listening all about Asmir. We worked in our co-operative groups to decide which 10 items we would pack into our rucksacks if we had to leave quickly just like Asmir. We presented to the class as a group our rucksack and 10 items.
