Dance Mania

Our Dance Mania team were phenomenal tonight at Cumbernauld Academy. Out of 18 schools who performed over two different nights we won runner up. This means that we have qualified for the final that takes place at Airdrie Town Hall on Tuesday 26th April. Well done girls. I am so proud of you all.

We have created lots of art work over the last few weeks. We have made kilts and learned about family tartans. Some boys in our class have worn a kilt at a wedding!

We made Loch Ness monsters. It was tricky to cut up all the paper but they look really good now!

We have made some Easter eggs. We loved adding our little chicks to our eggs. We tried our best to make them bright and colourful.

Thank you you for reading our post,

Fairtrade Coffee Morning

We held a coffee morrning today. The turn out was fantastic. The musicians and choir performed for us while we drank our coffee. Thank you to all staff and PTA members who helped out at the event and to everyone who came along to make it the huge success that it was.

Mark Scott Leadership Award

On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday pupils from St Maurices, Kilsyth Academy and Cumbernauld Academy work together to improve our ‘Chill Out Area’ garden. These pupils are working on their Mark Scott Leadership for Life Award. They tidied the whole garden, painted tyres that they then converted into raised planting areas, made bird feeders and very innovative welly boot planters were also hung from trellising. The garden looks fantastic and the team worked tirelessly to improve this area for us. Well done girls and thank you so much.

Internet Safety Information

During our parents’ nights last Wednesday and Thursday two policemen and women came to give advice on internet safety. They demonstrated how to put parental controls on ipads and iphones and gave very valuable advice on how to keep our children safe. We would like to thank them very much for their help and we hope to see them very soon when they return to speak to the children about this issue.
