P2 Parents Open Morning

Pupils in P2 were excited to make a healthy sandwich along with their parents/guardians. The ingredients for our sandwich were: wholemeal bread soft cheese spread cheddar cheese slice hommous lettuce ham Everyone really enjoyed making the sandwich and trying new foods.  The hommous was a new taste for P2 pupils and they decided they didn’t like it because of it’s texture and smell.  Well done for trying it anyway! 🙂

Some pupils in Primary 2 have been learning about where in our mouths different sounds come from. This is helping us to improve our reading and spelling. Today we enjoyed jumping in the colour hoops, sorting alphabet flashcards and magnetic letters into the correct colour hoop then using them to build our own words. Well done Primary 2!

P2 Minibeasts

Primary 2 were very lucky getting to meet some interesting minibeasts.  We got to hold a Giant African snail, centipede and a snake.  Fortunately the tarantula stayed in its box and we viewed it safely through the glass! Mrs Matheson and Miss Lalmy were also very brave and held the animals too.  🙂

Primary 2 pupils have been preparing for delivering a short solo talk  to the class.  They were to interview someone in their family about the job they do and could bring props, photos or use PowerPoint.  Miss Lalmy and Mrs Matheson thought the talks were outstanding and everyone had clearly worked very hard.  It was fun to hear about the different types of jobs people do!  It has certainly helped
