The show engaged children in learning about science, technology, engineering and maths through some very clever magic tricks. Children may wish to try out some of their new tricks on adults at home, so beware!
Primary 2 have been learning about new massage techniques during their weekly Relax Kids sessions. They also practiced mindfulness to help their emotional wellbeing. Look how relaxed and engaged everyone is!

P2 loved having a Scottish athlete who has competed at Olympic level come visit the school yesterday . He told us about competing in Hammer Throwing, how often he has to train and the foods he needs to eat to perform at his best. The whole school got to take part in fitness stations and P2 loved the challenge!
P2 have been working on their subtraction skills. They have been using a numberline, cubes and iPads to help them find the smaller number. Our three stations consisted of Maths workbooks, Smartboard “Building Expressions Game” on Topmarks and a dice challenge to consolidate their learning.
Primary 2 and Primary 3 had a blast at their Christmas party with party games and prizes! We did pass the parcel, Christmas Corners, The Grand Old Duke of York and even did the conga back to class. Primary 2 enjoyed their first hockey lesson with our coach John. They were learning how to hold the stick correctly and safely as well as dribble the ball with control. These 6 girls have amazed Miss Lalmy and the class with their brilliant success in Gymnastics and also Dance. They were awarded Bronze for Gymnastics and came second in their Ballet, Tap and Modern dance exams. What an amazing bunch! Congratulations!
Yesterday the pupils in Primary 1 and 2 enjoyed being served their Christmas lunch by the Primary 7’s. The children were very good at trying new foods and all enjoyed their puddings. Merry Christmas!
