What is it?

We come into contact with businesses on a regular basis in our daily lives. The S3/4 Business Management course will enable you to understand how businesses are set up, how they operate and the business activities they are involved in. Business Management provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand what happens in the world of business.

What do you do in this subject during S3 and S4?

You will have the opportunity to develop important skills such as problem solving, communication, planning and organising. You will learn through real-life business contexts what businesses do. Looking at different business organisations, how businesses tell consumers about their products and different systems businesses use to produce goods. Also looking at business laws and financial records.

Is it for you?

These skills are valuable in a wide range of career sectors but are particularly useful if you are interested in entering the world of business — whether as a manager, employee or self-employed person. Career pathways could be in Administration, Banking, Marketing, Human Resources, International Business  and many more!
