Westfield Parent Council Fundraising Committee (FC) help raise additional funds to support our school and allow the children to enjoy treats throughout the school year. All funds raised are for the benefit of the school and children.
Over the last 4 years our fundraising has helped purchase the school stage, an outdoor speaker, a buddy bench, headphones, whiteboards, classroom board games and a projector. As well as these items, which improve the school day for teachers and children, we have provided Easter eggs, summer ice lollies, Christmas gifts, Halloween treats, goodie bags and made donations towards school fun days, P7 leavers hoodies and school trips.
Over the coming months, we will be working towards improvng the outdoor playground equipment that the children have. Look out for our Facebook posts for more updates.
The FC are always looking to welcome new committee members and volunteers that have time to support our fundraising goals. If you would like to help, please contact Paula Cathcart (FC Chair) or Donna Monaghan (FC Secretary) via the Westfield PS and Nursery Parent/Carers Community Facebook Group or ask the school office for contact details.
If you’re looking for the quickest way to help with fundraising for our school, check out our EasyFundraising page via the following link: https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/westfieldprischpta

Hello Everybody,
We are ambassadors of the RRS committee and we would like to share a message about children’s rights. The Right of the Month is the right to be heard – article 12 of the UNCRC. The right to be heard is that everyone can say, and have their own opinions in a group discussion. According to article 12, children have the right to express their views in all matters affecting them. We want to make sure that everyone in Westfield Primary School has their rights. Every month we will choose a different right. We will look closely at the right and children will share their thoughts on it with everyone. The right of the month will be shared with classes at assemblies and will be displayed on our RRS Wall. We have talked about the difficulties with this right and we think that some people struggle to express themselves and some people struggle to listen. What we would like everyone to do is to be kind to those who struggle to listen and let children be heard.
