Greetings From Malawi

On Friday we were delighted to receive letters, photos, videos and a signed Partnership Agreement from Mr Mailosi and Namulenga Primary School in Malawi.  We are very excited to have the partnership now formally agreed and we are really looking forward to getting to know one another and learning lots from our partner school in Malawi.  The children in P6 and P7 who received the letters will be replying very soon.  We are also going to be making our own DVD to send to Malawi.

Well done to the Road Safety Committee who delivered an excellent assembly on Friday with a very important safety message.  They very clearly demonstrated the dangers involved in cycling without a helmet or whilst wearing dark clothing.  It was great to see everyone dressed in very bright clothes for the day.  The money raised will be split between the Brake Charity and our School Playground Project.

Mr Finnigan, Amy’s Dad, has very kindly offered to compete in the Belfast Marathon in aid of our School Playground Project.  We are very grateful to him for this and hope he gets great support in sponsorship from the whole school community.  A letter will be issued next week asking for donations.

Congratulations to our football team who braved the rain and snow to compete in the festival on Friday.  They received many compliments on their performances.  Thanks to Mr O’Raw and Mr Grew for accompanying the boys.
