Congratulations and thanks to everyone who helped to make sure our Christmas Show, “Children Around The World,” was a great success. Every child in the school played their part and contributed so well to the fantastic performance. I am very proud of all our children and staff who worked so hard to prepare for it. I know from the many comments heard on the night and since that our Parents and friends loved the show too! It is great to know that our hard work was worthwhile!
Thanks also to those who helped in our recent tree planting day. St Bernadette’s now has an orchard, where in years to come, we can look forward to homegrown apples, pears, plums, raspberries, gooseberries and blackcurrants. It was a great effort from everyone involved, when on one day we managed to plant in excess of 150 trees and bushes! This couldn’t have been achieved without the help of the Parents who came along ready and willing to work hard. I am pleased to say that all our trees survived the recent storm.
This week is party week with the P5-7 party being held yesterday and the P1-4 party on Wednesday. The senior party was good fun and everyone looked very well in their party clothes. Tomorrow we are hoping for a visit from a very special guest for the P1-4 party – I hope everyone has been good this year!
Once again congratulations to all our H factor winners for November and December. I am very proud of the effort and attitude shown by so many every day in school.
Best wishes for a Happy Christmas and a Great New Year from everyone in St Bernadette’s PS.
