Enterprise

S1 Enterprise classes have been inviting their parents to attend coffee shops in Snap Dragon this week.  The pupils plan, prepare and serve all the sandwiches, cakes, tea and coffee.  Jobs include food preparation, dish washer filling, serving and front of house duties – all carried out in our professional kitchen and restaurant.

It’s fantastic to see so many parents and family members getting involved in the life of the school – Parental Involvement is so important to staff and pupils.   Thank you.

Faith

Daily Prayers

“God doesn’t love you if….

God loves you always.

Remind yourself of that when feelings of failure, loneliness and despair come over you.

Comparing yourself to others will only make you feel that you don’t measure up or worse still,

make you feel better than others.

God only wants your best effort, not perfection.

You are you, loved by God, imperfect and beautiful.

Based on the words of Nick Vujicic

Our Father…..

School Prayer

Lord, I thank you for bringing me to another day.

May I live it completely for You,

Through you,

With You and in you. Amen

Prayer for Preparation to Study

Lord, I know you are with me and love me.
Give me peace of mind as I prepare for this time of study.
Help me to focus on my books and notes,
keep me from all distractions so that I will make the best use
of this time that is available to me.

Give me insight that I might understand what I am studying ,
and help me to remember it when the time comes.
Above all, I thank you for the ability to be able to study
and for the many gifts and talents you have given me.
Help me always to use them in such a way
that they honour you and do justice to myself.

Amen    (Salesians in Ireland)

Daily Prayers

This morning as we should every morning we give our day to Jesus and ask that our efforts are made good and holy.

Lord Jesus,

I give you my hands to do your work. I give you my feet to go your way.

I give you my eyes to see as you do. I give you my tongue to speak your words.

I give you my mind that you may think in me. I give you my spirit that you may pray in me.

Above all, I give you my heart that you may love in me your Father and all mankind.

I give you my whole self that you may grow in me, so that it is you, Lord Jesus,

who live and work and pray in me.

Hail Mary….

Lunch will be provided but send coins with your child if they intend to buy a snack at break too.

Daily Prayers

Today is the Feast Day of St Mark the Evangelist.

St Mark is the writer of the first Gospel of Jesus. It was written in Rome in 65AD and much of the information about Jesus is likely to have come from St Peter. A major theme of the Gospel is the suffering of Jesus which was an encouragement to the Christians in Rome who were enduring great persecution for their faith. Even for us, there will be times when it may take courage to live our faith and to do what is right.

This morning we ask God to continue to support us in our lives and that on all occasions we have the strength to be examples of faith to others.

Our Father…….
