Dear lord,
We pray that everyone can love one and other for who they
Truly are because everyone is Godâs children and he loves us all equally.
We pray for peace in our communities this day.
We commit to you all who work for peace and an end to tensions.
We pray for an end to fear,
For comfort and support to those who suffer.
For calm in our streets and cities,
That people may go about their lives in safety and peace.
Amen.

Today Lord, we pray for those suffering.
We pray their pain eases and each day they get better and stronger. We know you are there to help those in need of your love and power.
In great times of distress we remember the power of prayer and we hope you can bring hope, comfort and relief to those affected and suffering.
May you bring us all health in the soul and body and ensure everyone who is ready to, has a safe place in heaven with you where they can live forever in peace, comfort and with no pain.
Wednesday 13th September – Jennifer Laing
Almighty God,
We pray for peace in times like these.
That all those who suffer will be given mercy
And for inhumane wars to be halted.
Give strength to those in need of love and support
And let their pain be washed over with harmony.
Amen.
Thursday 14 September â Prayer for Vocations
Almighty and eternal God, Â in your unfailing love you provide ministers for your Church. Â We pray for those whom you call to serve the Diocese of Motherwell as priests. Â Inspire in them a generous response. Â Grant them courage and vision to serve your people. May their lives and service call your people to respond to the presence of your Spirit among us that, faithful to the Gospel and hope of Jesus the Christ, we may: announce glad tidings to the poor proclaim liberty to captives, set prisoners free and renew the face of the earth.
September 15th Prayer by Bethany Craig
Feast Day: Our lady of Sorrows
O God, You hold in your embrace both the sorrow and the beauty of life. Â Call us more deeply to embrace our mission, that in responding today to the sufferings of this world and the challenges it throws our way that we may stay at your side and there receive the gift of Christâs Spirit, who lives and reigns with you forever and ever.
Amen.

Well done to the seniors voted in as the Pupil Council Office Bearers this year.
Ethan Cheung, Julianne Stewart, Eve Patton, Louisa McCearney and Joseph Staitus.
An excellent morning for our senior pupils today at the UCAS event at Ravenscraig.
Pupils attended seminars on the UCAS application process and student finance.
Forty pupils, 4 staff and our school Chaplin Fr Krzystof were on pilgramage to Lourdes during the last week of the school term.
Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the experiences of visiting the Shrine of Lourdes where Our Lady appeared to St Bernadette. For most this was their first experience of going on pilgrimage and many say they wish they could return again.
On our way home we stopped off in Paris were we celebrated Mass in the Chaple of the Miraculous Medal as well as visited many tourist sights. On our final day of the trip we went to Disneyland Paris. This was a great way to finish off our pilgrimage before returning home to begin our Summer Holiday.

Lord,
We pray we can excel
Not just as a school but a community
In a society where social media controls the word, faith is considered out of date and selfishness minimises love for our neighbour.
Help us to refuse the negative
Accept the good
Help us to respect not only each other but our parents, families and teachers who want to inspire greatness in us.
Help us to work together as a peer group to reach a mutual understanding and peace, love and respect and to put this into action in the world around us.
We ask this through Christ our Lord
Amen

God Our Father,
As you cherish and love us, unconditionally,
We pray that we too grow in love and compassion for others. To welcome the stranger we meet with open arms.
May we never take for granted, the ultimate act of love shown to us by your son, Jesus, whose eternal sacrifice allows us to be close to you in this life and the next.
Amen

Dear Lord,
I pray today to you Lord for success in my studies; that my hard work and effort will be blessed by you and the Holy Father in times of stress and worry. I pray not only for me, but for my family; the people who care for me and protect me even through the hardest of days. May my family be blessed by you and be protected by you forever and ever. Amen.

Heavenly Father,
We thank you for everything you have granted to us, let the life we lead may be a life filled with peace and prosperity for everyone to see.
Let your light shine through us, so more people may know more about you. We pray for peace for the world and that we may love each other as you have loved us.
Amen
Friday 8th September 2017 (The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary) by Joseph Staitis S6
Mary was born to be the mother of the Saviour of the world, the spiritual mother of all men, and the holiest of God’s creatures. Because of her Son’s infinite merits, she was conceived and born immaculate and full of grace.
Through her, Queen of heaven and of earth, all grace is given to men. Through her, by the will of the Trinity, the unbelieving receive the gift of faith; the afflicted are tendered the works of mercy; and the members of Christ grow in likeness of their Head.
In Mary all human nature is exalted. We rejoice in her birthday, as the Church has done from the earliest times. This is one of the three birthdays in the Church Calendar â the Birth of Jesus (December 25), the Birth of John the Baptist (June 24) and the Birthday of Mary. All three were born without original sin, although Mary and Jesus were conceived without sin, and St. John was cleansed of original sin while in the womb at the Visitation of Mary.
