Normally application forms are available mid June however the Scottish Government have not set the criteria for the new school year yet so we expect these to be delayed.
If a parent/guardian has a claim for housing benefit or council tax reduction we hold their information already and will notify them if they qualify by post (same as last year) meaning they do not need to apply.
If they do not have a claim for either of these benefits we have been advising to check the website https://www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals
regularly as the form will update to the 2020/2021 application form as soon as the information is available.

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week and the theme is kindness.
This is such an important theme to celebrate and support, especially under these challenging times. One act of kindness can lead to many more. This is the type of community spirit that, we at Cardinal Newman High School, exude. We want to inspire as many people as possible to extend one act of kindness, first to yourself, and then to others.
Kindness has the singular ability to unlock our shared humanity. Kindness strengthens relationships, develops community, and deepens solidarity. Kindness is defined by doing something towards yourself and others, motivated by genuine desire to make a positive difference.
Any act of kindness that you carry out then we would love you to share this with us.
Please upload any messages or pictures to twitter @CN_HS and use the #CNHSkindness
Departments will be uploading various tasks so please upload your work on SMHW or send us a picture on twitter.
Let’s catch on to kindness.
Kindness Matters.
Mental Health Matters.
You Matter.
