Almighty God, kindle, we pray, in every heart the true love of peace, and guide with your wisdom those who take counsel for the nations of the earth, that in tranquillity your dominion may increase until the earth is filled with the knowledge of your love; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Loving Provider, you gather me in this upper room with your son, to be fed by your love. At that supper, Jesus told us to “love one another” and I know that is the heart of his gift, his sacrifice for me. I ask that I might find the source of my own heart, the meaning for my own life, in that Eucharist. Guide me to the fullness of your love and life.
School Prayer
Lord, I thank you for bringing me to another day.
May I live it completely for You,
Through you,
With You and in you. Amen
Blessed John Henry Newman, Pray for Us.
My saviour, do you invite me to share in the glory of the resurrection? Please stay with me as I struggle to see how accepting the crosses of my life will free me from the power of the one who wants only to destroy my love and trust in you. Help me to be humble and accepting like your son, Jesus. I want to turn to you with the same trust he had in your love. Save me, Lord. Only you can save me.
School Prayer
Lord, I thank you for bringing me to another day.
May I live it completely for You,
Through you,
With You and in you. Amen
Blessed John Henry Newman, Pray for Us.
God of such unwavering love, how do I “celebrate” the passion and death of Jesus? I often want to look the other way and not watch, not stay with Jesus in his suffering. Give me the strength to see his love with honesty and compassion and to feel deeply your own forgiveness and mercy for me. Help me to understand how to “celebrate” this week. I want be able to bring my weaknesses and imperfections with me as I journey with Jesus this week, so aware of his love.
School Prayer
Lord, I thank you for bringing me to another day.
May I live it completely for You,
Through you,
With You and in you. Amen
God, as we walk through Holy week toward the cross,
May we remember the wonder of who you are.
Beyond sin your love is inexhaustible,
Beyond betrayal your grace is poured out eternally,
Beyond death your life is unimaginable.
Beyond human understanding,
Your ways are always higher than ours.

God of today, of yesterday and tomorrow,
We are your people, created in your image.
In our diversity we have strength;
in our shared humanity a common hope,
a vision of life unbound by time.
We have come together to celebrate,
to reflect and to recommit ourselves to your work.
Shake us out of our complacency, rock our comfortable certainties
And challenge us to recognise the face of Christ in the eyes of our neighbour.
May our hearts be open to the challenge of your call to true freedom,
Our minds and hands ready to grasp the opportunity for change.
Inspire us with your message, open us to the joy of your word,
And guide us to the heart of truth, today and always. Amen.

God Our Father, You have given all peoples one common origin,
And your will is to gather them as one family in yourself.
Give compassion to our leaders, integrity to our citizens, and repentance to us all.
Fill the hearts of all women and men with your love
And the desire to ensure justice for all their brothers and sisters.
By sharing the good things you give us
May we ensure justice and equality for every human being,
An end to all division, and a human society built on love,
Lasting prosperity and peace for all.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Prayer of recommitment to the work of SCIAF
Inspired by the Gospel call to build a just world and moved by the suffering of the world’s poor I renew my commitment to work with SCIAF. For an end to poverty and oppression. Give me a generous heart to share with those who have nothing; The grace to live more simply So that they may simply live; And the perseverance to work unceasingly for a world in which all people, especially those who are poor and oppressed, can live life, and live it to the full. Amen

Creator God
Thank you for all you have given us.
Our Beautiful world
The people we know,
The gifts that we have.
But sometimes we can be thoughtless
And we don’t notice what goes on in other people’s lives.
Touch our hearts so that we realise
That sometimes our actions, and inactions,
Can affect the lives of others.
We think of homelessness, poverty, unfair trade, our damaged environment.
Help us to change and work for a world of justice.
We ask this in your name. Amen
School Prayer

Loving Creator, you have made us in your image
And we yearn for the healing of all your people.
Fill our hearts with the fire of your love
And our minds with a thirst for justice.
Embolden us to cry out against oppression,
Empower us to work for the coming of your kingdom,
And enrich us with your life-giving spirit
So that all creation may feel your touch and be healed.
We ask this in the name of our crucified, risen Lord,
Our liberator and redeemer, Jesus Christ.
Amen.

Friday has arrived and we are reminded of Lenten promises regarding fasting. Help us keep you in our thoughts and deeds today as we work hard completing another week at school. May our focus be on strengthening our relationship with you through prayer and fasting. The power of prayer and fasting can really have a positive impact on our lives. May we live for You in all we do.

Lord of mercy and compassion, look with pity upon me.
Father, let me call Thee Father.
‘Tis Thy child returned to Thee.
Jesus Lord, I ask for Mercy. Let me not implore in vain.
All my sins I now detest them. Never will I sin again.

Sometimes it can seem that we are struggling to fit in all that we have to do each day. Sometimes we have begun our lunch when we realise that we have forgotten about daily mass in the theatre. Or sometimes peer pressure can make rushing for lunch seem more important.
During this time of renewal, Lord, we know that you do not ask anything of us that you have not first given us. Each one of us have a place in your heart. Help us to make time to communicate with you each day to give us the strength to continue along our Lenten journey.
School Prayer
Lord, I thank you for bringing me to another day.
May I live it completely for You,
Through you,With You and in you.
Amen
