Good morning Skye class!

Good morning everyone!

I hope you are all well 🙂

Today is another lovely day and I hope you will have some fun in the sunshine! You can take your toys and play outside! I am sure that you all love playing and have all your favourite toys with you.

When it’s to time to finish an activity, do you remember what we do in class? We TIDY UP! All the boys and girl in Skye class when play time is finished, you take your toys and you put them back to the box with some support if needed. So special job for today (and that is something we can do every day) is to “tidy up my toys”.

Spring sensory activities!

Hello everyone!

Here’s a lovely sensory activity to try!

We are now in May, and the Spring season is here!  We can use our senses to learn about Spring. There are lots of flowers and plants to smell, touch and look at.  We might hear birds singing.  The sun might be shining.

If you are in your garden or on a walk look for some Spring leaves, flowers or petals on the ground.  You can smell them, look at the different colours and touch the different textures.

There are lots of pretty plants and flowers starting to grow.

Collect some and bring them home and you can make a lovely sensory tray filled with water and petals to explore.

You could use cups right click and select copy  or spoons  right click and select copy  to mix  right click and select copy  and pour  right click and select copy

Or just use your hands to explore the mixture and pick up the leaves?

Flower Soup Sensory Bin. A fun and easy outdoor spring activity for babies, toddlers and preschoolers.

Patterns

Good Morning Skye Class

I thought today  we could continue to learn our  colours whilst learning how to make a pattern. I have made a few templates of patterns you can copy and also fill in the missing colours. You can make your own pattern, use the templates or use objects around the house. This can also be a sensory activity as you can use playdough, materials or food to make a pattern. Enjoy touching and tasting the pattern you make :). Here are a few patterns I made earlier today. pattern learning intention

Good morning Skye class!

Good morning Skye class!

I hope you all had a good long weekend! The weather has been lovely and I hope the sun will stay for the rest of the week 🙂

Our boys and girl in Skye class have been doing very good work with our weekly special jobs in class.  Every week each of you had a special job: to wash the dishes after snack or Home Economics, to be the snack helper, to clean the table after snack, to collect the jackets before going out to play and to help with recycling. Good work everyone!

So what about today? Can you help with the dishes? When you finish your snack or lunch, you can wash and dry the dishes. And remember you have been doing great with special jobs in class, so you can be super star helpers at home too 🙂

France topic sensory bottles

Good morning!

Our topic this term is Vive la France!

We have explored the colours of the French flag.

We are learning about red, white and blue.

I thought these lovely red white and blue sensory jars were nice if you have some food colouring in the house!  You can use any size and shape of plastic bottles or containers for little hands to hold and shake!  Create white bubbles using washing up liquid…..  And shake!!!  I posted a short video of me making them below too…!  If you have anything else in the house like glitter you can add it too! Remember to get some help from your grown ups!

Have lots of fun!
