A great day at school today supporting Children in Need! Lots of different activities and of course no fundraiser would be complete without our walk around the track!

Great time had by all supporting the STV Big Breakfast Appeal…..
Friday saw the official handing over of our beautiful new Mini Bus representatives from the Variety Club, the Parent Council and Kilmarnock football all came along to help us celebrate.
Mull Class enjoyed some Sports Relief activities last week, and did brilliantly taking part in our daily challenges. We did dance, trampoline, walking and using the bikes, coming together as a whole school on Friday for our final challenges. Well done everyone! Here are some of the photos we managed to get……
KR, SS and LM all enjoyed some sensory paint fun on Tuesday afternoon. Socks and shoes were thrown away as we used our bare feet to explore and paint on our blank canvas. As we slipped and slid over the mat hands and faces also bore the brunt of our psychedelic creation, meaning more paint ended on us than on the mat. Luckily the ever helpful Miss Galloway was there to lend a hand to help clean the artists up. Unfortunately for her KR decided her face was also a blank canvas that needed colour so he softly placed his artists hand on her cheek (see below) to brighten up her appearance. Good work everyone!!!
Mull class were in the party mood on Thursday as we joined with the rest of the school to celebrate Burns day, which this year marked the 259th year since the bards birthday. To commemorate the great Scottish poet we performed a great Scottish song; “Ye cannae shove yer Granny aff a bus.” Mull pupils helped to design and make our yellow and red bus and were good at singing the song as well.
After a break for traditional Scottish food and drink consisting of shortbread and Irn Bru, it was time for some social dancing to show off our moves. A great time was had by all.
Two weeks in to the New Year and most of us have already broken our resolutions of being more fit and healthy. Not the pupils in Mull class. CI, CH, LM, KR and SS were running, throwing, kicking, twirling and whirling with a variety of equipment and had great fun doing it. Have a great weekend everyone.
After a busy week at school and settling back into routine, Mull class have been relaxing and having sensory game fun on the Magic Carpet. Dancing, Swimming and playing football to keep us fit makes us very very happy the Magic carpet is back!!
Lots more fun to come:)….
Mull class kicked off their their new year home economics with a healthy ryvita traybake. SS, KR and CH stirred, poured, mixed, melted and drizzled a variety of ingredients in order to make this delicious snack. Once the traybake was finished and tasted it was decided by the head judge (Mrs Gibson) to give Mull class this weeks star baker award. Well done everyone.
Mull class had a busy week out and about at both the Panto and up the mall doing some Christmas shopping. KR and LM hopped on the bus and headed to the shopping mall to pick up some presents for their friends. Both pupils chose great presents for their friends but we will have to wait to the Christmas party for Santa to deliver them. Then the following day all Mull class pupils travelled to the Palace theatre in Kilmarnock to watch Dick Whittington. A great time was had by all and we even picked up some acting tips we hope to put to good use in our school panto.
