Well we have travelled around the Isle of Arran gaining an ‘Island Visitor’ challenge in our 50 Things to do outdoors challenge booklet. It has been a fabulous week and the sunshine has certainly helped. We are now just getting into the swing of organising our own kit, lunch, boots etc and it is time to go home : (( The gang did very well today at collecting their own rucksack, packing their own lunch and flask and finding their own hill-walking boots. They also did a great job of helping to clean their boots at the end of the day and returning their kit to the stores. Peter said ‘ Arran holiday finished … back again next year 2016, so surely that’s a good sign’. The weather was glorious when we set off first to horse-riding and then to Lochranza for a picnic on the grass followed by a leisurely stroll along the sea. We seen lots along the path including shells, wild flowers, jelly fish and some spagnum moss. The afternoon ended with a visit to Brodick Castle for a tub of delicious arran ice-cream outside looking at the beautiful views. Back to the centre for yet another yummy dinner and tonight it is party time with ‘Uptown funk’ on the request list. We hope Andy plays it for us. Thank you to all the staff and our work experience pupil Sophie for making this a fantastic trip. We can’t wait till next year.
See you tomorrow. I think it might be early nights for everyone!!!!
