Day 1 of our Arran expedition has been fabulous and what a lot we have packed in.  Elliot is our helper and it is looking like it is going to be a fun week. The weather has been beautiful so we were able to walk from Brodick all the way to Brodick Castle stopping to have our lunch al fresco.  We looked at the maps and tried our best to navigate our way and successfully did to the Bavarian Summerhouse.  After our long walk, we jumped back on the minibus and stopped at the local shop to buy some postcards to send home.  Just after tea, we did some work on our logbook and provided views about what we did today using the talking mat.  Everyone expressed that they liked going on the walk and following the trail at the castle.  Tea was yummy and soon polished off due to all of the fresh air building our appetite.  Tonight we went to the lifeboat station where we tried on the ‘kit’, don’t we just look the part!!!  Back home and we are all exhausted so a very quick supper, showers and in bed relaxing.  We will be back in touch with more news tomorrow.
