Parent Council

The Parent Council at Beith Primary is very active within the school.  We meet regularly with the senior management team to discuss various aspects of school like and would really appreciate your input.  Have a look at this document to see what the Parent Council does at Beith primary School.

What does Beith Parent Council do?

We meet every 2 months, on a Wednesday evening, at 6.30-8 pm in school/Virtually

The Head Teacher, Deputy Head Teachers and other people who work with the children come along and provide updates on what is happening in the school.

We raise issues with the school on behalf of the parents/carers (but not about individual children).

We fundraise for the school, generally by holding school discos 3-4 times a year.  We sell school uniforms – we’ll shortly be announcing how to order uniforms online as we’re setting up an ordering system with suppliers.

We have a Facebook page

www.facebook.com/BeithPrimarySchoolParentCouncil

where we note any information which we think could be helpful to other parents/carers of children at Beith Primary School.

The photos of the parent council members are on the Parent Council board in the school entrance (right hand side) and the minutes of the parent council meetings are posted there (as well as on our Facebook page) for everyone to read.

How can you help?

  • You don’t need to come along to meetings if that’s not your thing, we’re always looking for help at the school discos: taking the slips in from children when they arrive, supervising in the hall, manning the door.
  • We also need people to help distribute the uniform orders in school when they arrive.
  • It would be great to have people manning a tea & coffee stall every time we have parents’ nights/open evenings.
  • There are other times through the year when the school might ask us for help.

If you are able to help please private message us on the Facebook page or email: beithparentcouncil@gmail.com to let us know.
