Whilst we aim to make sure all our young people feel safe and supported in school we are aware that sometimes things can go wrong. We encourage students and parents to raise concerns as quickly as possible so that we can try to resolve any issues before they have the chance to impact on a young person’s progress.
Within school there is a KAB (Keith Against Bullying) postbox that bullying concerns can be posted in. Alternatively, these concerns can be texted to the KAB line, number available on posters throughout the school. If you or a friend are experiencing bullying or intimidation let us know as soon as possible. During our recent Inspection Visit students told the Inspectors that our anti-bullying programme was working in reducing bullying and that they were confident that any concerns were being dealt with appropriately.
For any other concerns we would hope that students feel able to approach their Teacher, Guidance Teacher, Year Head or any member of the Senior Leadership Team. If this is not possible then we would ask that parents contact the school to highlight the concern either by phone or email.
It is much better to speak to us than to vent on Social Media. If we are not aware of an issue we will not be able to help your child.
As a school we aim to Get it Right for Every Child and I would hope that those parents who have contacted the school would agree with that. We realise we are not always correct, teachers are human too remember, but as parents ourselves we also realise that you don’t always get the full story from your child. It is therefore preferable to get in touch early and establish a full picture.
