CLD

Community Learning and Development (CLD) in Inverclyde aims to help individuals and groups in their communities to achieve their life goals and tackle real everyday issues in their lives through community based learning and community action.

Government guidance states that CLD’s specific focus should be:

  1. Improve life chances for people of all ages, through learning, personal development and active citizenship
  2. Stronger, more resilient, supportive, influential and inclusive communities

Inverclyde Alliance has the responsibility to set the direction for CLD and Inverclyde Council takes the lead in putting this into practice.

Our CLD officer is James Kane.

CLD run a craft group within the school on Tuesdays at 3pm.

CLD also organise a “walking bus” to school which meets at 8.30am   on Wednesday mornings  at St Francis Church. You are welcome to join us on this healthier way to travel to school.
