Head Teacher –  Mrs Nicola Devine

The Head Teacher is responsible for for the overall philosophy and direction of the school. Additionally she has responsibility for staffing, management of the budget, curriculum development and improvement planning.

Depute Head Teacher – Mr Iain McLean

Mr McLean has responsibility for S4, S5 & S6 pupils and deals with all matters – curriculum, discipline. pastoral care – relating to these pupils. He also has responsibility for –

  • school timetable and accommodation
  • staffing
  • class cover
  • developing learning and teaching strategies
  • SQA co-ordinator
  • further and higher education
  • SDS
  • school website
  • ICT coordinator

Depute Head Teacher – Miss Morag Goodfellow

Miss Goodfellow has responsibility for S1 & S3 pupils and deals with all matters – curriculum, discipline. pastoral care – relating to these pupils. She also has responsibility for –

  • Rights Respecting School status
  • developing learning and teaching strategies
  • cluster working and primary transition
  • NQTs and Student Teachers
  • co-ordination of pupil support
  • school library
  • active schools
  • school trips
  • staff development
  • school productions
  • National Assessments

Acting Depute Head Teacher – Mrs Collette McGeehan

Mrs McGeehan has responsibility for S2 pupils and deals with all matters – curriculum, discipline. pastoral care – relating to these pupils. She also has responsibility for –

  • parental involvement strategy
  • equality matters
  • equity
  • nurtures
  • STEM
  • developing young workforce
  • newsletter & publications

Associate Depute Head Teacher – Mr S Neeson

Mr Neeson is year head of S6

Associate Depute Head Teacher – Mr G Starling

Mr Starling is year head of S4
