Pastoral Care

The Pastoral Care Team consists of –

Mr J Stevenson          (Principal Teacher – C Classes & Class 5B)

Mrs L Scott                  (Principal Teacher – O Classes & Class 2A)

Mr S McFadden       (Principal Teacher – L Classes & Class 5A)

Miss A Friel                (Principal Teacher – M Classes & Class 2B)

Mr R Begley               (Acting Principal Teacher of Equity)

Mrs A Barbour         (Home School Link)

Mrs P Cormack        (Principal Teacher of Support for Learning)

Mr C Bonnar              (Nurture Teacher)

The Pastoral Care system is arranged on a vertical basis. This means that each pupil will belong to one of six houses – each house group is donated by a letter – C, O, L, M, B and A. Each house group has a member of the Pastoral Care team in charge of it. The same Pastoral Care teacher will be associated with a pupil as he or she moves through the various stages of the school..

Pastoral Care staff, along with subject teachers, provide important support for pupils at transition times. This will help to ensure that pupils are following the appropriate courses taking into account the pupil’s ability and career aspirations.

Pastoral Care staff are happy to discuss any aspect of a child’s education with parents or carers. Interviews can be arranged by contacting the school office.
