St Columba's High School

The school has a long and proud tradition of service to the town and surrounding area. It was established in 1909 and moved to its present site on Tower Hill in Gourock in August 2013.

The accommodation is modern and airy, and provides a pleasant environment for learning and teaching. Classrooms are large and fully equipped with state of the art technology. The school also has new science labs, art rooms, kitchens for home economics and technical workshops. PE facilities include a Games Hall, small gym, fitness suite and floodlit, all weather outdoor area (incorporating a 3G football pitch). There is also a MUGA (Multi Use Games Area) that is popular with pupils at interval and lunchtimes. Pupils can access a large dining / social area where they can enjoy a wide range of hot or cold foods, while enjoying the company of their friends. On warm days picnic tables are available for those who would like to go ‘al fresco’.

The site is fully landscaped with spectacular views over the River Clyde towards Dunoon and beyond.
