Music

Mission Statement

The Port Glasgow High School Music Department provides a welcoming space for all with a wide range of opportunities for young people to study, practice, and explore music.  These include individual and class instrumental and vocal lessons and various ensemble music making activities including the junior orchestra, school show, wind and jazz bands to name a few. Working closely with several partners in the local community and nationally we give public performances throughout the year across a diverse range of venues. Creativity and independence of thought are strongly encouraged and a nurturing environment has been established that respects diverse learning styles, performances and practices. We are a thriving department and are committed to achieving excellence for all.
