Doctor Who Review Episodes 10-12

Episode 10: Face the Raven
The Doctor and Clara receive a phone call from Rigsy, who informs them of strange numbers that have appeared on the back of his neck and that they are counting down. After examining him, the Doctor concludes that a Chronolock has been placed on him and he will die when it gets to 0. The Doctor, Clara and Rigsy find an alien community in London. They find out that Ashildr/Me is the mayor of this street, and Rigsy has been sentenced to death for murder. Clara finds out that the Chronolock can be transferred to a willing recipient and takes it from Rigsy, and thinks that Me will remove the Chronolock and save her. In the end the alien person that Rigsy has been framed for murdering was a lie. Me made a deal with some people to have The Doctor teleported to another place using a teleportation bracelet. It is revealed to Me that the Chronolock has been passed on to Clara, Ashildr can’t remove it and she can’t be saved. Clara pleads with the Doctor not to take revenge for her, and Clara then dies, and the Doctor is teleported.

I think this is a nice way for the end of Clara and it makes up for the last episode. It was a good idea for how Clara should die and it’s very original.

Episode 11: Heaven Sent

The Doctor appears in a chamber after being teleported, he is still angry about what had happened to Clara. He soon finds out that he is being followed by a creature which wants to kill him. He works out that after giving a confession, the creature will leave for a while and the castle will change its form. The Doctor tries to work out how to escape. After going into a garden and digging, he finds a tablet with “I AM IN 12” written on it. After eventually finding Room 12, he finds a wall made completely out of a material which is much harder than diamond. He starts to break away at it with his fist, when the creature appears and wounds him. The Doctor crawls back to the room he appeared in and sacrifices himself to teleport his past self-there, which he has been doing for 7000 years. Eventually, after over four billion years of being killed over and over again, the wall is now weakened, and he breaks through. Upon stepping through, the Doctor sees he was inside his confession dial all along. The Doctor, having returned to Gallifrey, tells a nearby child to inform someone that he has arrived.

I was confused when I first watched this episode but after watching it again it made a lot more sense. It is a good episode

Episode 12: Hell Bent
In a Nevada diner, the Doctor meets a waitress who looks the exact same as Clara, and begins to tell her, what he thought was a story, about Clara but they don’t seem to recognise each other. On Gallifrey, Rassilon attempts to have the Doctor put in prison and killed. The Time Lord military instead stays loyal to the Doctor. The Doctor has the Time Lords use an extraction chamber to get Clara from her timeline at the moment of her death. The Doctor takes Clara and a TARDIS and escapes Gallifrey, trying to take her far away enough that she will return to life. At the end of the universe, The Doctor meets Me. The Doctor decides to remove Clara’s memories of him, but Clara alters the device so it randomly effects one of them, which ends up being the Doctor. In the present, the Doctor finishes his story, and the waitress (Clara) encourages him to keep going. In the back room is Me and the TARDIS console. It leaves, leaving the Doctor with his own TARDIS. Clara decides to eventually return to Gallifrey, but first leaves with Me to explore the universe.

This was a very good episode to end the series. They should make a spinoff series, like Torchwood, of the adventures of Me and Clara.
