In our first session of music we looked at musical appreciation, how music made us feel and how it can inspire creativity/imagination. We began by listening to a variety of different music clips and noting down how they made us feel using one word. This was a simple music activity which could be used within a primary school setting. We then listened to Disney’s fantasia 200 which is a longer piece of music and made a story board (eight pictures of a story) that the music inspired us to imagine. The piece of music varied in pace and tempo with a variety of instruments used throughout. This activity was interesting as personally I am not the most creative person however  still found this to be enjoyable and interesting. It was also cross curricular as it tied into literacy as well as music. I can express and communicate my ideas, thoughts and feelings through musical activities. EXA 0-18a / EXA 1-18a / EXA 2-18.
