P7 at Bridgend Primary School in West Lothian are helping their buddies in P1/2 to develop their ICT skills. Every week after they have read to each other P7 focus on a skill to teach the P1/2’s. The types of skills being covered are adding photos, accessing the internet and logging on to the different devices we have.

Technologies Information Evening
Bridgend Primary School in West Lothian held a Technologies Information Evening to showcase how we use technologies throughout the school and across all curricular areas. Pupils from P1 to P7 led workshops on the following:

Community Café

Story Telling in French at Kilmodan Primary School
Gwen McCrossan uses story telling to inspire and enthuse her learners and embed the learning and teaching of French in the wider curriculum. She shares how she uses the storybook “La Surprise de Handa” with her P2-4 learners and the animated film Kirikou et la Sorcière with her P5-7 class.

The Senior Phase – Curriculum Structures
I am investigating what schools are considering with regards option choice in the Senior Phase. My own school is considering 6 options throughout S4/5/6 with 5 periods per option.
