About Seesaw

Adelphi nursery launched the use of Seesaw as an online learning and communication platform March 2020, following the government closure of schools and implementation of social-distancing due to Covid-19 (Coronavirus).

Seesaw is app-based technology which allows practitioners to share children’s learning online and families to see their child’s work, leave comments and encouragement. If a parent has an individual query about their child’s learning, they can speak to a member of staff at the nursery.

Parents are required to return their consent forms for use of the platform by themselves and their child, this can be found at the nursery. Following return of the consent forms, unique invite codes will then be sent out via email or message. Please ensure that you sign into the Seesaw Family App to access your child’s learning. You can click the images below to download the app or access Seesaw through their website: https://app.seesaw.me/#/login

We recognize that not everyone will have access to the same type of technology. Our children may complete activities in whatever way works best in their situation, including drawing on paper instead of using the Seesaw app and or doing the activities sent out and not posting pictures.

When children make new posts, they are shared only with their Practitioner and family and will be labelled with just the name of the pupil alongside it.

If you have any questions or concerns relating to Seesaw platform, please contact our Digital Leader of Learning – Katy McHugh – on gw14mchughkathleen@glow.ea.glasgow.sch.uk  or by speaking to her at the nursery
