Parental Engagement

Parents are welcome to work alongside children and staff in the playroom or to bring their special talents into our setting. We welcome your involvement in all aspects of the nursery.

We have an ‘open door’ approach at the nursery and are happy to talk to you at any time. If you have any comments, questions or worries you wish to express, please do not hesitate in approaching either Karen or any member of the staff team.

In addition we wish to Celebrate the Learning and encourage our families to share the Learning that takes place at home. This ranges from children
• Sharing a bedtime story at the end of a busy day
• Helping in the Kitchen (sorting things, or baking, or helping to put out cutlery etc)
• Colouring in, games, puzzles, sharing with their sibling or friend
• Spending time outdoors in natural environment is good for us all and especially for children

Attending an event such as a wedding, holiday, day trip etc

Some of our own earliest recollection will be of outdoor play at the local play park, or digging with buckets and spades.
• Involvement in Activities like swimming, gymnastics, ball games etc.
