The Roads of the Future challenge is open to P6, P7, S1, S2 and S3 learners.
There is an annual competition for this challenge. Please contact us for more details about how to get involved.
The challenge is to design and build a road, to meet as many of the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as you can.
The SDGs are a set of targets related to future international development.
They were created by the United Nations and promoted as the ‘Global Goals’ for Sustainable Development.
There are 17 goals and 169 specific targets for those goals. It is important that the goals are considered when designing and building roads, including the A9 Dualling Programme.
